BBC America, is having a contest for “BEING HUMAN” and there is an awesome opportunity for fans of the show to showcase their "creative talents" and very likely get them on-air!!.
Besides just featuring the “winning video” I think they will be showing all of the best submissions during the season finale. Seven million people will be seeing these!!
It can be 15 seconds or ???, they are looking for FUN IDEAS! Here is a link to the website for submission details, etc.

Submissions need to be in a format that can be played on YouTube. Deadline for entries is September 7th.

I really enjoy Being Human....and watching the show ;) It has so many dimensions. Would like to see some one off epi.....like having a side story per epi ..how about they find a boy who was raised by wolves and the flat mates help out...or a poltergeist in a local store the flat mates visit (for groceries) ...there are just so many ideas for lighter supernatural single epi stories. The show is really fantastic but I have had a hard time getting my friends to catch up, since they didn't watch from the beginning they feel totally lost. Would be a great hook to pull more people in is single side story epi. Hope I don't sound like a hater. I LOVE this show and it is FANGTASTIC! I love the humor...would like to see even more. The flatmates do have amazing chemistry and have come into their own with their characters. Would love to see a yank thrown into the mix every now and then ;)
I am a huge fan of supernatural shows but watch with a critical eye. can't seem to help myself. :P It is all outta love for the show .... most of the time I am more critical of the shows I really love. All time favortie, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Joss is the man (even if the studios kick the sh*t outta him and his shows)!
Anything else ya wanna know just ask. I might just be able to answer. HA!

In one episode while George was with Sam, she was reading a book to her daughter with a witch on the cover and title...make Sam a witch.
Plot Ideas...
A She used a spell to get George to like her and move in...
B George starts having bad luck to Sam using a spell for revenge...
C They need her help to get to Annie...
Lots of angles here...any ideas to add?

It is highly amusing - I just love the scene where The Real Hustle isn't on when it's supposed to be: George weeps and Mitchell gets in a stress and ends up wearing marigolds to do the washing up.
Moments like that make Being Human :)

Am I the only one who thinks its not George's fault that Nina is a werewolf. Mitchell and Annie told Nina to go away. But Nina kept trying to get to George. Because she didn't listen to them she got scratched.

plz someone help me i dont know what is going on sometimes i wake up with fur all over my bed and sometimes with blood on my hands at first i thought the hair was my dog but she doesn't have black hair and i cant explain the blood. whats happening to me

Reading the BBC novel Chasers I came across an interesting discussion on the subject of George's lifespan. George talks about how wolves live 10-20 years, so splitting the difference he might live 50 years. Or, he could live a normal human lifespan. Or he could be immortal, but he has no way of knowing yet. (Not enough time has passed from when he received the curse). I've always assumed he was immortal, it just made more sense for me in relation to his character. Another way the werewolf part of him bleed through into his "normal" human life. Than I realized it hadn't really been addressed in the series. What do you think?

Interesting. Since most werewolfs in the past are beaten to death upon sight and apparently (spoiler alert) this series the wolves are being taken out by an attempted 'cure' Its hard to say and from what I heard Tully is offed too. So there is literally no one for George to ask and I'm not sure Mitchell would know?

Oh man! what a hit in the face! so much happening all at once O.O
I do hope Nina and George work things out. George seemed to do a big 180, into an almost totally different person. Which isnt surprising after what had happened. Not suprised to see the CenSSA guy as a character on the show. I figured the videos he was in were a promo for the second season. I wish George didnt cheat on Nina, but i do see that he's losing his freaken mind. I hope they all work it out. I also think Ivan will be the new king :)
The "bens" scene with the werewolf dude was disturbing yet awesome! lol

OMG Yeah. I'm freaking out about whats happening to Annie. Death is totally after her. What the hell is she going to do? And Mitchell is going to fall again i think. He seems kinda fragile right now, like a bad day at work or a girl could piss him off enough to slip up again. And this time I don't think its just going to be one victim.
George is going down a destructive path. I think Nina will run because she just can't deal with what she has become.

Defiantly like the half ghost half human idea
And i think its pretty much a given that Michell and Annie will get together. Which totally works for Michell's "problem". he wants blood and she's got none to give. But it would be nice if Nina and George didn't break up. George was trying to do the best he could and get Nina out of the way. He shouldn't be punished for being in a bad situation and trying to do the right thing.
What SHOULD happen?
Michell finds out he has a long heritage line, his sister had children and are now walking around his hospital. He is accidentally introduced to what would be his, great great great great grand-niece, starting a tie to humanity that he just couldn't seem to forge in season one on his own. Meanwhile Annie's had enought. She really likes Michell and thought it was mutual. but after some failed attempts and the now constant family hunt he's on (In which none of them can see her) she tries to leave

Mmmmm....? This has got my mind, Annie needed a door to pass through so a death must occur, right? Ok... so why is this? The spirit of the man in the wet suit who was "sent over" during the Spiritualist's show passed through a door without a death (he also died in a non- natural way) so how does that work? Is it only opened without a death if the spirit grants forgiveness in the same manner as the wet suit man spirit? Any ideas folks????

i too like the show i like many shows were i find minor inconsistencies that pick at me
if she really wanted to leave she should have gone and found the psychic and tried to sneak through a white door when any spirit had a resoloution
but i suppose they need to have a next season story arc and just having "head vamp" come back woudl have been weak so they have to throw in a few stories trying to get annie back (meeting new psychics and ghosts)probably ending up her coming back just in time to be the deus ex machina to get rid of the "head vamp" like she did with the priest
i figure their universe has the light door and the dark door and both want annie but the dark door is trying to get her before she does something truly redeming the light door as usual is not as visibly proactive

SPOILER ALERT.
In the last featured episode of being human (28th february) At the end of the show, it showed Herrick being respawned from someones blood.
Meaning blood heals for vampires.
But, what i don't understand is that, in this show, when vampires die they turn to ash, and the vampire (forgot name) clearly said that the bones where here.
Greatly confused with the lore in the show now.

you would think the vamps would know that they can be ressurected via bloodbath and thusly burn all "dead vamps
what annoys me is the whole harmless sunlight thing
i like the idea of having tradeoffs like when you become a vampire there are positives and negatives and they seem to balance
you live forever but never live in daylight again
you are super strong but have an intense craving for blood
you heal quick but you can be killed by a chunk of wood
you can move fast but can be repelled by religious artifacts
werewolves
you get an enhancement in senses but you loose control once a month and will kill your best friend
the ghost is confusing since she can move items why cannot she just wear clothes and just have the invisible man's problems
she seems to be able to dissapear and reappear whenevr she likes except when a door to the afterlife is near
why cant she walk through walls
and as to the pressure chamber counter acting the gravitational tidal forces was about the most ridiculous inconsistant thing ive seen on the show how could an increase in air pressure interfere with gravity fluctuations
so say a werewolf was a scuba diver 90 feet down and changed they would rupture and bleed all over the place cause they seemed to only increase the pressure 2 or 3 more atmospheres
also if the pressure increase stopped the transformation shouldnt a reduction of pressure cause a transformation?

The question from the show which has most engaged me is: what exactly was it that Annie told Owen which frightened him so much? The thing that "only the dead know" and he said "can't be true"? Do you suppose the writers had something in mind? Will we eventually find out too? It's interesting to speculate: something along the lines of "the world is not real" (a la Matrix) or "the devil actually runs the world"? Any ideas?

Just having a look on a slightly unrelated site and it seems that they are casting a new character for the next series, you need membership to get the full info but it looks like he will appear in all 8 episodes and have a leading part in the 2nd one.

I read today that the original premise for the trio was based on "This Life". Mitchell was going to be a sex addict (I could live with that!), George was going to have anger management issues, and Annie was going to be agoraphobic.
Then Toby Whithouse decided to add a supernatural element so gave them the closest characteristics and they became a vampire, a werewolf and a ghost
I thought that was quite interesting!
