Sorry for getting to this late, I don't own a TV and have only stumbled across Being Human on iPlayer recently, and have just got round to watching the Series 3 finale. As a scriptwriter (albeit not of drama/sci-fi) I spotted several things that wouldn't have been included unless they were setting up something for Series 4. It's speculation, but I'm prepared to put money on it being true.
DON'T KNOW HOW TO SPOILER TAG ON HERE SO LOOK AWAY IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW
The new vampire in Series 4 will be Nancy Reed, the police officer who arrested Mitchell.
There are various circumstantial reasons why this will be case, and two definite reasons, one of which 'proves' it as far as I can see.
Circumstantially, a lot of effort has been made to develop her character, and particularly Annie's relationship with her (even though Reed obviously never knew Annie was there). This also helps continue the Mitchell backstory, sans Mitchell, and as the police station is going to be a focus in Series 4, with the 'old ones' running it, having a main character in there is pretty much vital for storyline purposes.
And the two more definite reasons why vampire Nancy will be in S4:
ANOTHER SURVIVOR: The policeman who gets the report of the massacre in the house on his radio, lists the number of dead, then specifically says "three in critical condition". We only see two in the hospital, Nina and the dead cop. There is a sense that the third person is being worked on in another bed, but the camera is carefully framed so you don't see who they are. If this wasn't important, why even say "three" rather than "two" survivors?

deffinately sounds like it has the basis for a good storyline, we need to keep the trio fighting together against the bad. only time will tell if they can keep the story going as good as the 1's before. xxxxxx
