This is very sweet and well-written. I hope the 2 can cuddle. Shouldn't Mitchell be cold? He's dead too. I don't see the author's name here, but I hope you'll write again.

Hey everyone,
I am a Being Human fan and watched every episode of the British version. Not long ago I started to watch a bit of the American version and wanst really taken by it. I have been set a University assignment where I can create a Research Project of any kind and I have chosen conversion of Television over the Atlantic. I have chosen Being Human as i closeley follow the episodes and have quite strong views on them as well. If you are reading this thread is there any chance you can answer my questions to add to my results. It would be greatly appreciated.
Questions (All I need is your answers)
Are you Male or Female? What age are you? Are you a Being Human Fan? Do you watch every episode? What do you think of the British version? What do you think of the American version? Which version do you prefer the most and why? What do you think about American prodcuers converting British tv ideas?
Thank you for answering the Questions :)

Female, as old as Mitchell, I am a BH fan since I discovered it a few weeks back. I'm American (AZ), so we just began our 2nd season. I took the BBC version from my library and watched Season 1. It was the same story, but shown differently if you pay attention to details and I do. In the 2nd American version, the queen of the vamps comes to Boston to set her daughter in charge. Adain (Mitchel in BBC) is her second. Our characters have different names but the same issues. We here didn't know there was a BBC version. I guess that's like All in the Family, which we heard was based on something British but never saw it. I adore both versions. All the actors are brilliant and bring the story to life a little differently. I'm ready for ep 5 of Season 2, and a little nervous what will happen to Nina. I'm picking up all kinds of British slang I wouldn't use, yeah? That is a new one to me. We never heard yeah, and oi used the way you people use it. I guess spoilers are okay in this, because I just learned Mitchell is going to die in Season 3. How sad! Will there be a new vamp in his place? I hope our Mitchel (called Aiden here) will not be taken from us.

I made a comment involving George eating a sheep yesterday and my friend said - "err, george doesn't eat sheep". Is this true? And if so, why? Pork I could understand coz he's jewish, but lamb?? is that non-kosher? I need to know to settle what could turn into a full on fist fight. Thanks fans!

Hi Dunster, Did you receive a reply to this yet? If George was a practicing Jew, he would not eat pig, but neither would he eat squirrel. They are both on our No Eat (Traif) list. Lambs are fine for Jews, if killed properly with the blood drained off and the sciatic nerve taken out. While a wolf, Geoge is not a Jew and under our laws. He's a member of the wolf tribe and under the laws of nature, so he can eat whatever a wolf would. Does that make sense to you?

Why couldn't it be like the US version of shameless? Based on UK version but different! Being Human (US) is EXACTLY the same script and story with minor changes! Why bother? I was introduced to BH by a friend in the states so it's not like it wasn't popular! Make it different so we can enjoy it ASWELL as the uk version!!!

Actually, I just found the American version a few weeks ago in AZ, USA. I watched the Marathon to see what I missed of Season 1, and have seen the first 2 eps of season 2. I borrowed the BBC version to see how they differ. Since I saw the American version first, I thought it was intriguing how they could take the same story and do it British Style. Of course I know the BBC did it first, but remember I saw ours before I saw the older one. I loved the British slang and your actors as much as ours. There are differences, but they are all great in their portrayals. I can't say I like one more than the other. I'm glad to have them both because the whole idea is brilliant. I just sent for the second BBC season. Mondays nights are going to be stay-at-home nights as long as BH is running.

Russell Tovey has announced that he is quitting BBC Three hit series Being Human after three series. Tovey, who stars as werewolf George Sands on the BBC Three show, announced via his official Twitter account Twitter.com/russelltovey that he is departing the series.
He wrote: "Hey my lovely witty's, you may or may not know by now, but I am leaving Being Human officially. Thought you should all know. I'm sorry."
The actor becomes the second major cast member to depart the series after Aidan Turner [pictured on the right of your screen] left to join the cast of Peter Jackson's new adaptation of The Hobbit.
Tovey, who is currently starring in sitcom Him & Her, said that the series would continue without him and could "go on and on".
He told The Guardian: "No, with Being Human the story can definitely go on and on. Toby [Whithouse - the series' writer] still runs it and they can do all sorts, add giants and robots!"
Tovey added that it had felt strange to find himself considering to continue being a part of the show after Turner departed. He said: "Aidan's left to film The Hobbit in New Zealand and going on without him on this fourth series felt strange".
Actor Damien Molony will join the cast of Being Human in the new series, which is due to air early next year.

SILVA SCREEN RECORDS PRESENTS BEING HUMAN On July 26th Silva Screen is set to release Being Human, Richard Wells' BAFTA nominated soundtrack to BBC Three's hit supernatural comedy-drama. The soundtrack features music from the first two seasons of the show, which airs on BBC America in the US.
Toby Whithouse, writer & creator of Being Human comments: "Richard doesn’t just compose a good soundtrack. These are haunting and beautiful pieces of music in their own right."
“All the important themes had to be on the album,” said Wells. “But apart from those there was nearly five hours of original music so it took a long time to work out what to include and what to leave out, while keeping it true to Being Human. Ultimately it’s for the fans, so it was well worth spending the time, trying to get it right.”
Being Human is an off-beat supernatural drama about three housemates who happen to be a werewolf, vampire and a ghost. Whilst sharing a rented house in Bristol, the trio desperately tries to balance their paranormal problems with the challenge of simply Being Human.
The series proved a major hit for BBC Three, which kicked off its third series in the UK with a monster audience of 1.5 million viewers, and aired in the US in February. Though Syfy airs a US version, James Hibberd of Entertainment Weekly writes, “Every time we post a story about Syfy’s Being Human, we get comments about how much people loooove the UK original,” which airs on BBC America.
